Sunday, December 5 - Carolina Christmas at Charlotte Motor Speedway

I know this is not in South Charlotte but I am not sure how you can't take the short drive to Concord and check out the BIGGEST light display in the country! That's right, 1 millllllion dollars  lights will light up the Lowes Motor Speedway. Besides the lights there is a ton of fun including an ice skating rink, a marshmallow fire pit, carriage rides, rides for the kids and so much more. Oh and of course the guy in the big red suit will be there!

Sufganiyot

Ingredients

  • 1 T dry yeast
  • 4 T white sugar
  • 3/4 c lukewarm milk or water
  • 2-1/2 c white flour
  • 1 t cinnamon
  • 2 eggs, separated
  • 2 T butter or margarine
  • Strawberry jam (the kind without seeds), ribat chalav (caramel), or chocolate spread
  • Powdered sugar
  • Vegetable oil — lots and lots of it
