You might think that NC Music Center is just all about giving music lessons, however we are are so much more! We here at NC Music Center focus on the entire development of a student, not only do we want them to develop into well rounded musicians, we also encourage students by providing opportunities for them to be involved in their communities through community performances, volunteering, building their self-esteem and also encourage them to be positive role models for their peers.
Our initial structure of each music lesson is designed using the traditional methods of study, in which instructors are using method books. We chose this form of teaching because this style has been tried and tested and proven to be successful in helping a student acquire the skills needed to learn their instrument adequately. In addition, our teachers strive to encourage the student to push and strive for their highest level of achievement and to give their very best in all that they do. This is implemented by giving the student supplementary music to prepare and perform for recitals, festivals and community performances.
From humble beginnings in early 2007, with a vision to establish a quality music study environment equipped with talented and ambitious music students Nyshia Cook opened Piano Passion. Once opening the studio began to grow at a fast and steady pace that they then felt the need to expand and offer additional instruments such as voice, violin, guitar, and drums. As NC Music Center has continued to grow, many of our students have been successful in national music grading events such as NFMC, MTNA, Piano Guild, school performances, musicals, live productions, and even National TV.
We now offer beginner through advanced music instruction for students age 3.5 and up, in Piano, Voice, Violin, Guitar, and Drums, we also offer two recitals each year and also opportunities for students to be graded. NC Music Center is committed to instilling motivation, dedication, and self-expression in students through focused musical study. We believe that embarking on a musical adventure creates avenues of cognitive development and personal triumph. We are dedicated to jump-starting important qualities that lead to the greatest satisfaction and pleasure in a student's future. Studying music sets the foundation for success in all facets of life.
