The holiday season is upon us and Children’s Theatre of Charlotte has picked the best show to kick off the holiday season! The Best Christmas Pageant Ever is sure to be a favorite of the whole family! Here is the scoop on this new show from CTC:
“What happens when the worst kids in the entire world find out there are free snacks at Sunday school? They decide to disastrously audition for the annual Christmas pageant, of course!
Full of hijinks, laughs and a healthy dose of holiday cheer, Children’s Theatre of Charlotte brings to life the beloved 1971 childhood classic The Best Christmas Pageant Ever with the world premiere of the musical version, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever: The Musical.
The worst kids ever, the Herdmans, have commandeered the Christmas pageant and insist on playing all the good parts. They’ve never heard the Christmas story or of Mary, Joseph or the wise men. Will the pageant be canceled? Will the other kids even show up to participate? Will this be the worst pageant ever?”
The Best Christmas Pageant Ever debuts November 25 and runs until December 23. Tickets for the show start at $12. Children’s Theatre will hold a special sensory friendly show on December 11 at 4:00 PM and an ASL show on December 17 at 11:00 AM. This show runs for 80 minutes and is perfect for kids of all ages!
