I was provided all of these products for review at no cost. Opinions expressed are my own

In my former life I was a Special Education teacher. That training never leaves you! When I was sent Sneaky Snacky Squirrel to review the first thing that impressed me about the game was the thoughtfulness for the whole child in the game.

To play the game, kids spin the spinner and pick up an acorn that matches the color on the spinner and place it in their log. Sounds simple? Yes and no. Kids have to use the squirrel to pick up the acorns. The squirrel is like a giant pair of tweezers, awesome for fine motor activity and control. For kiddos to pick the acorn up and place it in the log takes control, patience and practice. I love this game and my kids love it also.

It was great for my 3 1/2 year old because she got to practice matching her colors. Using the squirrel to pick up the acorns was hard for her but she stuck with it and was able to get a couple of the acorns in without using her hands. It was easy for my 8 year old but he still enjoyed playing with his younger siblings. My 6 year old liked it also and he even had a little trouble with the fine motor side of the game.

I loved that the game was something that the 3 of them could play without me. I love products that can keep all 3 of the kids busy together while I am trying to get something (hello dinner) else done.

If you are a mom with kiddos who love clay but hate the mess, Play Foam may be the perfect answer for you. Play Foam comes in a variety of colors (including sparkle foam!) and sticks together to help minimize the mess on your kitchen floor. Made up of molding material that does not stick to your skin, floor or clothes.  My 3 kids were happy to pull the Play Foam out of the package and get to work molding and remolding the foam. The kids loved to roll the foam and mix the colors. My 3 year old enjoyed smushing it through her fingers. My older 2 built monsters with the foam. The foam cleaned up fast and easy. I loved that I was not sweeping the leftovers off the floor. The foam stored well in a zip lock. The Play Foam has not been something that the kids have gone back to and played with over and over. That being said, it is a great activity for times when you need to give the kids something to do that will keep them busy and not create a mess for you. It is also appealing because it is good for a family with kids of a variety of ages. My kids are 3, 6 and 8. It was great to have something they could all play with.

Kabam is a fun and fast paced word building game that is just as much fun for adults as it is for the kids! This game is better for older kids (8 and up) my 6 ½ year old was able to play it but is was harder for him.  Kabam, a card game with attitude will put your kids vocabulary to the test. The game can be played head to head or in teams. Each card features a vowel, prefix, suffix, dipthong or consonant. Cards are dealt and the first person to make a word with the letters on the cards wins the point. The trick, you cannot change the order of the letters on the cards that have 2 letters on them.

I really like games that can be played quickly (sorry all you girls who love that never ending real estate game) and Kabam is one of those games that you can play in a few minutes or play for an hour. This is one game your kids may just beat you at!

Kabam is a great birthday gift for those 8 and up kids who it seems so hard to buy for these days!

I really liked all of the games that I was sent for review but Buck Buck Moose was probably my favorite! This super cute and fast paced game tests a child’s attention, memory and color recognition.

Players take turns dealing cards, deal a Buck and keep dealing. Deal a moose and race to slap the matching color deck. First person there gets the card. I love that everyone gets a turn to deal. That is truly a gift to moms who do not want to listen to kids fight about who gets to deal.

The game was a little too hard for my 3 ½ year old, she got the concept of dealing but the actual game play was a little above her.  I think that once she is 4 it will be a little better to play.

Buck Buck Moose is fun and fast paced, another great game that can be played in a few minutes if you need a time filler while waiting for dinner or a fast activity before bed.
