Have a Little One Who Loves Transformers?

By South Charlotte Macaroni Kid October 5, 2011

Transformers seem to be one of those toys that crosses generations for kids. They are a toy your husband (or maybe you) played with growing up and are still a toy that boys of all ages love. There is something about those autobots that spark the imagination in children. Playskool has taken this much loved line of toys and made it accessible to your little boy. The full size Transformers can be hard for little hands to transform. The new Transformers Rescue Bots Hero Fire Station is perfect for those little hands. The fire station comes with one figure named Cody Burns and his Bot Heatwave, a fire truck with a transformer undercarriage. The fire truck does not "transform" like traditional Transformer figures but the face and the build is all Transformer. This is a great introduction to Transformers. The fire station is complete with a control center with the voice of Optimus Prime (when closed up, the fire station becomes Optimus Primes face) who gives your little hero commands to help battle the forces of evil. The fire station has moveable parts that allow the hero Cody Burns to move around his station to make sure all is safe for the citizens of the town.

My boys who are 6 1/2 and 8 were engaged with the station, I would suggest if you have more than 1 child or if you often have play dates over that you buy an additional figure. The set comes with one figure and one transformer vehicle. Additional figures are available for purchase. I found that my sons took the fire station and incorporated it into their other Transformers toys and made a whole story line out of it. I do think this toy is better for younger boys and is a great introduction to the line of toys.

The fire station retails for 49.99 and is available at local retailers and online at the Hasbro site
