Why Now is the Best Time for Swim Lessons

By #spon July 8, 2013
Now that summer is in full swing and our kiddos have been swimming like little fish we are all breathing a sigh of relief that we knocked out those swim lessons in the spring right! Wrong! Now is when they should be taking swim lessons, I know it sounds crazy, we are all at the pool every day (in between thunderstorms) and our kids are paddling around like champs. Our friends at Charlotte Swim Academy let us in on a little secret, summer is primetime for swim lessons.

Summer is the time that you can capitalize on their confidence and really increase their skills. This is the time to take your timid swimmer and help them become a confident swimmer, to take your confident swimmer and teach them more refined skills. Charlotte Swim Academy has set up week long sessions that will fit your summer schedule, you attend sessions 4 days in a row (M-Th) for a more individualized session and kids can practice skills every time you hit the pool. In the spring, we take lessons and then wait for the pool to open, the pool is open now so there is an immediate transfer of skills. The shorter sessions accommodate for camp, vacations and other summer activities. When kiddos can practice the skills several times a week it helps make them more confident swimmers, summer is the best time of year to be able to do that! My daughter learned to swim by going to daily short sessions in the summers and she is by far the strongest of my kids in the pool.

All lessons at Charlotte Swim Academy are private and are offered in 20-30 min sessions. They are currently enrolling for summer, you can see the summer schedule on the Charlotte Swim Academy website along with current sessions and pricing. Loads of SCMK families have taken lessons at Charlotte Swim Academy for years and we hear nothing but rave reviews about the instructors and management! You can find Charlotte Swim Academy on Facebook and join their email list to be the first to know about new sessions and registration!
