American Girl does it again! Last month they launched an expanded line of Bitty Baby Dolls. These sweet baby dolls, designed for children ages 3 and up, offer girls a chance to design a baby that look just like them. There are 11 dolls with various skin tones and eye colors so it's easier to find a girl that looks like your daughter. The Bitty Baby line now includes a set of great books (the one my daughter has she carries every where and reads over and over) that each impart a message of kindness, generosity and confidence, there is a parent section at the end of each book to help parents share and carry over the messages in your daughter's day to day life. The books are beautifully illustrated and written by a Newberry Award winning author.
The new line of Bitty Baby toys are all related to the books and day to day life. The toys are made to encourage creative play and allow girls to use their imaginations. The toys include a mealtime set, bedtime set and travel set. In addition, there is a new line of furniture including a wood crib and changing table.
In addition to being able to bring Bitty Baby into your home, American Girl is currently offering in store events, and a video contest. Sweet Moments with Bitty Baby encourages parents to grab their video cameras and capture those sweet times your daughter has with her Bitty Baby, do they snuggle at reading time, does she put her baby down for a nap?
