When my boys were little I was always amazed that I escaped toddler-hood without any stitches, broken bones or other traditional little boy traumas. Well, I may have escaped toddler trauma but it caught up with me. Our first trip to an OrthoCarolina Urgent Care came from my middle kiddo, a back yard game of soccer on a Saturday ended with a broken elbow. It was our first trip to OrthoCarolina and I was dreading the experience. I was pleasantly surprised by our visit, when most of us think of urgent cares, we think long waits, sub-par service and an all around painful experience. As a matter of fact, the X-ray tech we saw remembered my son's name! Each visit was great, I never felt like I was compromising my son's care by visiting an urgent care, I never once felt like I was getting the bottom rung staff because it was a weekend. We received excellent care, I have used the urgent care services myself for a shoulder injury.
