Richard Scarry was my favorite author when I was little. I loved the Busytown books and I know many of you did also. When I had my own kids, Busytown books were among the first books I bought for them. They have become as beloved to my children as they were to me. I was so thrilled when I found out that Children's Theater of Charlotte would be presenting Busytown this season. Our long wait is finally over! The show opens April 13-April 29 at the McColl Family Theater.
If you are not familiar with Busytown, the books and the stage play tell the story of Huckle the Cat and his adventures in Busytown. The cast of characters include Lowly the Worm, Farmer Pig, Dr. Lion and more give kids a first hand view of how a town works and why each person in the town has something unique and special to offer. Your kids will fall in love with them!
