American Girl Doll of the Year~Saige

Enter to win!

March 3, 2013
Saige Copeland, American Girl's Doll of the Year arrived on my door step this week. Needless to say, there was a little girl at my house who was beyond thrilled to adopt Saige and welcome her into our home.

We first told you about Saige when she came on the scene in January. Each year, American Girl releases a doll that epitomizes the character traits that as parents we want to encourage in our own girls. Saige is no exception, with her tough spirit, her dedication to family and the care and love she displays towards animals Saige offers parents a chance to teach their daughters that when you believe in something and put your heart into it, you can be the change.

The doll that was created to go along with the story is exceptional, unlike other dolls, Saige arrives with her ears pierced and a beautiful ring. Saige is made of the same exceptional quality as other American Girl Dolls, she has a sweet blue dress with detailing that is reminiscent of her home in New Mexico, boots and beautiful auburn hair.

Saige is really a lovely doll, we were stopped twice by moms in Costco this weekend who asked to see Saige and show her to their daughters. Saige is for sale on the American Girl website, she now has a great array of accessories and friends (her horse!) to go along with her. In addition, there are now several books in the Saige series ready to go! Jessie Hass, the author of the Saige series of books feels a special connection to the story as she told us in a recent interview.

If you have a girl in your life who loves the arts, is dedicated to making the world a better place or has a passion for animals, Saige is her girl! As you can see, Saige has found her way into one little girls heart.

We have a copy of the book Saige to give to one SCMK reader. Leave us a comment below about how your daughter tries to make the world a better place to be entered to win!
