Biltmore~Kids Get in Free All Summer!

By South Charlotte Macaroni Kid June 18, 2017

Biltmore House is one of our favorite summer getaways for Charlotte families if you haven't taken your kids yet this is the summer to do it! Not only do kids get in free until Labor Day, they also have two new exhibits this summer that the whole family will love, here are the details from Biltmore House:

"Featuring more than 50,000 toy bricks and 600-plus hours of hard (but fun!) work, a Toy Model of Biltmore House made using Legos that comes in at 10 feet in length is on display at Biltmore. The model is so life-like, and the creators left out no attention to detail. You’ll even find a tiny toy man atop one of the iconic (toy) lion statues outside of Biltmore House – much like a picture from our archives that shows a guest of George Vanderbilt’s sitting on the same lion statue. Adults and children alike love to stop and pose for pictures with these iconic lions. The model is on display in the Wine Shop at Antler Hill Village.

Also in the Village is the Vanderbilt Travels Railway, a 250-foot model train display handcrafted from leaves, twigs and other natural materials. You and your little ones will enjoy seeing five separate trains threading through miniature versions of well-known landmarks (all stops on past Vanderbilt travels), including the Eiffel Tower, Arc De Triomphe, London Bridge and more. The railway was constructed by Applied Imagination, which creates an annual holiday train display in the New York Botanical Garden."

These exhibits run all summer long! If you haven't taken your kids to The Biltmore House, make sure you check out our post with details on taking kids to The Biltmore House!
