Head over to Escape Tactic for some amazing fun!

June 17, 2021

If you haven’t tried an escape room yet Escape Tactic is THE place! I took my 12 year old son, my 9 year old daughter and her best friend and we had a blast!

The process is super easy! Go online and read about all of the different rooms, currently there are 6 with more to come! Pick your date and time and register. That’s it!

When we arrived we checked in the staff person gave us a great overview of what to expect and even gave us a short tutorial with hints on how to solve some of the puzzles.

The website recommends the rooms for ages 10 and up. But after speaking with the owner and reviewing the room options I felt extremely sure that my older kids could handle it. We chose King Tut’s Curse escape room because it didn’t seem as “scary” and the theme is just really cool! Our task was to locate King Tut’s Crook. We had to solve all sorts of puzzles and problems to find keys, unlock boxes and find clues. We could ask for hints if we all agreed, which we did a few times, to help solve the more difficult problems. We succeeded and finished with 10 minutes to spare!! We had a great time and will definitely be back!

The Escape Rooms are:

King Tut’s Curse where you and your team of archaeologists have to find Tut’s Crook in order to break the curse! “From the moment you walk in you’ll feel like you’re in an ancient Egyptian tomb with Egyptian relics, stone walls, hieroglyphics, secret passageways, and a life size King Tut sarcophagus.” We chose this one because it is ideal for people who have never been to an escape room but tough enough for experienced players to enjoy.

Amazon Survival where you are trapped in a make-shift prison, deep in the Amazon jungle! “It’s an intensively themed jungle room with incredible design, realistic props, and over-the-top puzzles that include physical skill and creative problem solving.” Plus more adventures and obstacles to overcome.

Devil’s vs. Heels where you are actually in the same room as your opponents! By splitting into 2 teams you will each have to solve a series puzzles to solve in order to unlock the basketball in the middle of the court. “Nowhere else will you find an escape room that allows you to truly compete against another team and do it while paying homage to the greatest rivalry in all of sports.” It’s a great escape room for beginners and one we will try next!

Mine Trap where you and your team are trapped in a deep, dark, underground mine. “You know that oxygen is limited, and it’s only a matter of time until you suffocate.” This is the most dynamic game, a fan favorite, and perfect for experienced players.

In Seal Team you have been assigned a top-secret mission to eliminate a “high-value target”. “There are more puzzles in this game than any other escape room we have, and each solved puzzle will take you one step closer to the final reveal.”  The most challenging and given the nature of the room probably best suited for more mature players (i.e., probably not best for younger kids).

Coming Soon is Flight 282 where you and your team are aboard a hijacked plane. “You’ll have to navigate your way through the plane, gain crucial access codes and take back control before it is too late!” This room will have actual airplane seats, beverage carts, and replica parts from a Boeing 737 cockpit! I can’t wait to see this one when it’s ready!

And if you’re looking to do something before or after your Escape Room experience, OMB, Sugar Creek, Good Road Ciderworks, Queen Park Social, and Victory/Southern Tier are all no more than 300 yards away!  We ended up meeting my husband after work at OMB, dropping our youngest off with him and headed to Escape Tactics. Since it was only an hour, or less, we met them afterwards for dinner! Win/Win!!
