Don’t Miss Charlotte Ballet’s Peter Pan!

By Andrea Horner March 13, 2019

I love making memories and sharing new experiences with my kids. One of those experiences on our wish list was going to a Charlotte Ballet performance. When I saw the Charlotte Ballet was doing a Peter Pan performance I knew it was the perfect time to go! I took my girls, ages 4 and 6, this past Saturday. We attended the family matinee, which included fun, interactive activities in the lobby an hour before the show. My girls loved the DIY Tinker Bell tutu making station! They wore them proudly the remainder of the day.

The Peter Pan ballet performance was fantastic! The dancers were very talented and the costumes were beautiful! My girls were amazed by Peter Pan and Wendy’s ability to fly, it added so much magic and excitement to the show! There were also some humorous scenes with the crocodile and Captain Hook that had the crowd belly laughing! I did have to remember to explain to them that there was no dialogue in the show because the story was told through ballet. I’m glad that they had seen the Peter Pan movie recently so they had a little bit of an idea of what was going on. It didn’t seem to bother them much. They stayed engaged during the performance and really enjoyed the show.

The Peter Pan performance runs 2 hours with a 20 minute intermission. They have concessions available that offer a variety of beverages and snacks for purchase.
