We are having so much fun at our weekly cooking classes - this past Saturday we taught our Tween chefs how to cook sushi rice and how to roll vegetable sushi (cucumber and avocado) and make homemade ramen noodle bowls. It does our heart good to see the kids ask for seconds (and thirds) when they make these recipes that are healthy, delicious, and easily replicated at home. Every time we have a class, we give recommendations about techniques and often local markets that are better suited for certain ingredients and supplies. For example, we are "regulars" at the Grand Asia Market in Stallings and Super G on Independence, where we find an abundance of fresh mint and Thai purple basil, as well as sushi rolling mats and sushi rice.  Click here to register for classes Father's Day EVENT!
