Public Golf Courses in the Charlotte Area

CLT/Union County and Fort Mill~ Let's GOLF!

Whether you are an avid golfer or just looking for a fun afternoon activity with friends and family, there are plenty of public golf courses throughout the greater Charlotte area. Check out our list and book your tee time today!


Charlotte:

Olde Sycamore Golf Plantation- This course is only a few minutes from I-485. Olde Sycamore was recognized as the “Best New Course” and “Best Eastside Course” in the Queen City by Charlotte’s Best Magazine. People of all ages and skill levels will enjoy the beauty of Olde Sycamore!

Sunset Hills Public Golf Course- Sunset Hills offers two different courses that provide an inexpensive and non-intimidating round of golf. The Learning Course is a 9-hole course perfect for beginners. The Old Course is a regulation 18-hole course. If you want a round of golf that is fast, fun, and affordable, this course is great no matter your skill level.


The Tradition Golf Club- The Tradition Golf Club is located in Northeast Charlotte, near University Research Park, and is ideal for a relaxing day of golf. The club is home to a 5,400-square-foot clubhouse, dining facilities, and a golf shop. Other amenities include a practice area with a driving range, two practice putting greens, and two practice sand bunkers.



Union County:

Stonebridge Golf Club- Stonebridge Golf Club is an 18-Hole Championship Golf Course located in Monroe, North Carolina. With various scenic views, this course has become known as one of the best Charlotte area golf courses to play!


Monroe Country Club- This course was created by two world-renowned course designers – Donald Ross and Tom Jackson. The front nine holes allow golfers of all skill levels the opportunity to test their skills, while the back nine provides more of a challenge. Monroe Country Club is also equipped with a pro shop and snack bar that includes an indoor dining area. 



Fort Mill:

Fort MiIl Golf Club- Fort Mill Golf Club is an 18-hole championship golf course that rolls through tree-lined fairways. Located in the heart of Fort Mill, this club is a favorite among locals. The layout is friendly to walkers and the perfect location for an afternoon of golf. 


Springfield Golf Club- This picturesque course will challenge all golfers. Springfield Golf Club has made a name for itself among Charlotte courses since its opening. The course features 4 holes that flank Sugar Creek, providing players with breathtaking views. There are also 13 holes that play across and along streams that feed into the Catawba River.
