The creators of "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever: The Musical" return to Children's Theatre of Charlotte with a brand-new, original musical bringing magic to the stage!
"Allie Kazan and the Magic Mansion" opens on Feb 4. The musical comedy includes real magic and illusions taught to the actors by Tokyo-based magician, Steve Marshall. For years, Marshall has worked along with the show's writers Jahnna Beecham and Malcolm Hillgartner to create this work along with Children's Theatre of Charlotte. Now audiences get to witness the magic on stage for the first time this weekend.
After receiving news that a contestant was disqualified from the Young Masters of Magic competition, Allie Kazan is invited to the Magic Mansion to compete alongside the other four contestants. What she doesn't know is at the mansion awaits the ghost of Dudley Hammersmith, The Great Marvellini's rival, who continues to sabotage the competition.
The musical tips its hat in its designs and writing at the classic cartoon Scooby-Doo. Audiences will be mesmerized by the magic and laughing while solving the mystery of what's really happening at this competition. This spooky, silly show will surely be a family favorite.
