A Totally Unique and Hands-On Experience
Our week-long camp, crafted for ages 10-14, offers three jam-packed hours of artistic exploration each afternoon from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM. With only ten students per session, we make sure everyone gets plenty of one-on-one time to develop their skills and confidence.
At The Little Studio, we believe in fostering creativity with structured projects while also letting imaginations run wild! Campers will:
- Try the Potter’s Wheel – Get their hands muddy and spin their own pottery!
- Create Functional & Whimsical Art – From mugs and bowls to mystical gnomes, wizards, ceramic whistles, and room dioramas, campers will craft pieces that reflect their unique artistic style.
- Let Their Creativity Shine – With the freedom to design and personalize, every masterpiece will be one-of-a-kind!
The Full Clay Experience – From Blob to Beautiful!
Campers will dive deep into the entire pottery process, learning how to turn a lump of clay into a stunning work of art:
- Shape and Sculpt – Using hand-building techniques and the potter’s wheel, they’ll transform raw clay into their envisioned creations.
- Refine and Perfect – As pieces dry, campers will smooth and add intricate details to make their work shine.
- Glaze and Add Color – Once the initial firing is complete, they’ll brush on vibrant glazes to bring their pieces to life.
- Final Firing & Pick-Up – After the last kiln firing, their masterpieces will be ready for pick-up approximately four weeks after camp—something special to show off at home!
A Playful & Supportive Atmosphere
We want our campers to have fun, feel safe, and stay energized! A 20-minute snack break gives them time to refuel—please pack a nut-free snack for your child. Clean-up starts at 4:10 PM, with pick-up at 4:30 PM. To make sure their amazing creations get home safely, please bring a shoebox for artwork transportation.
Oh, and did we mention? Every camper will get a cool, artsy summer camp T-shirt to wear with pride all season long!
