Description
The Juneteenth Festival of the Carolinas celebrates the end of slavery, and the African American community is taking the opportunity to come together to reflect on and remember the historical event. The Juneteenth committee proudly schedules events that are carefully selected to maximize the experience for all who attend. Check out the jam-packed schedule here.
Thursday, June 13, 9:00 am-4:00 pm, Weeping Willow AME Zion Church
- Youth Culture Camp - register here or in person
- ages 3-16, preschoolers attend with a parent
- $10 includes lunch
- Story Telling, Drumming, Dance, and Arts & Crafts
- Tie-Dyeing (Bring a White T-shirt for Tie-Dye)

- Inaugural Drum Circle with International Drummers and Community Fellowship
Saturday, June 15
- Opening Ceremony, Prayer, Juneteenth History
- Juneteenth March - June 14 at 10 AM. The Unity March will begin at Skyla Credit Union 718 Central Avenue and end at the House of Africa on Central Avenue and Thomas Avenue where the festival began 26 years ago. Come join us for a peaceful celebration.
