The Matthews Alive Festival is a Labor Day weekend celebration dedicated to the support of local non-profit organizations.

Alongside our Board and key volunteers, community groups volunteer their time by working the festival areas. This dynamic produces a festival packed with family activities, great food, arts, and fantastic entertainment!

Following the festival, the net proceeds earned at Matthews Alive go back to these non-profit organizations, so that they may provide services to enhance the quality of life in our area.

Friday, 6-10 pm - $25 All-You-Can-Ride Wristband Night

• Shag dancing on the dance floor, and the best of Carolina Beach Music! Bands will bring high-energy beach music fun on Friday night. 

• Children’s games will open, and you can purchase an All-You-Can-Ride Wristband in the carnival! Learn more.

• Check out the Exhibitors on Sponsor Row for special deals and promotions, and grab dinner from over 25 food vendor options!

Saturday, 9:30 am Parade

• Main Festival Hours: 10 am – 10 pm
• Cultural Center Hours: 11 am – 7:30 pm
• Kids Connection: 11 am – 7:30 pm
• Small Shops Hours: 10 am – 7:30 pm

Sunday, noon to 10 pm

• Music fills the Main Stage all day long, capped off with a great headliner band!  Learn more.
• Check out the Lidl Kids’ Connection to the sides of the Community Center! Learn more.
• Main Festival Hours: 1 pm – 10 pm
• Community Center Hours: 1 pm – 7:30 pm
• Kids Connection: 1 pm – 7:30 pm
