Join us for the 28th annual Festival of India, a vibrant celebration of India's rich cultural heritage. Over two electrifying days, immerse yourself in a kaleidoscope of colors, sounds, and flavors as we bring a tiny glimpse of Indian art and culture to the Queen City.
Day one at Belk Theater features captivating performances blending Bollywood glamour and classical Indian dance with breathtaking choreography and soul-stirring music. Explore vibrant showcases of art, crafts, attire, and cuisine from across India, and shop for Indian clothing and jewelry outside on Tryon Street.
Day two at Ballantyne's Backyard, experience cultural immersion and exploration at the Festival of India, set amidst natural rolling hills and lush greenery. Enjoy live workshops, learn Indian dance moves, and try your hand at traditional Rangoli-making. Indulge in the intricate art of henna design or adorn yourself in a luxurious silk sari, with the chance to capture the moment with a memorable photo keepsake.
The 28th Festival of India is presented by the India Association of Charlotte, a nonprofit dedicated to sharing Indian culture and celebrating artistic and cultural diversity in an attempt to nurture an inclusive community. They are an official Charlotte International Arts Festival partner.
